Where have all the boobies come from? Is Set impressed?
Wednesday, January 24, 2007
Hi guys I want to make a little (maybe Dutch) site about Set/Sutekh. But I can't find a nice domain for it. I want a dot.net domain or a dot.com, because when I take a dot.nl domain they put my whole adres and secret phone-number on the internet. I don't like domains with the word temple in it. Who want to help?

Mazdaist
a serpant is a wisper who feeds on the siniews of deception. trick and illusion, slithering rarely out from caves. a shadow in the corner, unnoticed and conniving. a confusing fog over the eyes of power. a div's influence.
the promise of secret power, the Soma ichor dipped greedily into the mouths of the infidel. quieting his power and exaulting his sin. poison in the veins of wisdom.
the fire is sacred, burning at night, violent in the dark. as the serpant slithers over the hourglass of our lives, the fire is what tempers his indulgance.
ahura mazda, the lord of my soul. i delight in your glorious light.

Em hotep,
It's been a very long time since I've been here.
Of course, I am also the creator of this place, Shemsu Set. But, I have long been absent from my post.
Unfortunately, during the time of this groups birth, I was not very mature or able to really dedicate time.
I am here, though. Now, I am ready. I am back. ::wave::
It's a pleasure to meet all new members, and my fond farewells to those who have left.
It's been way too long, right Set? (I know He agrees whole heartedly here.)
Anyhow - I need to work on getting this group under my new LiveJournal account (since the old one has twice been replaced.) That may take some time, but no disruptions should (I hope) occur to the group.
Take care now, ~ Seta

Hello there!
Due to an odd set of circumstances, I am on the lookout for any charms of protection against Apep - symbols, prayers, amulets or what have you.
If anyone knows of anything, I would be most grateful.

I would like to give a shout out to Set. Are you worthy of Worship?
Wednesday, July 20, 2005
Hi all
This community and associated sister sites etc. have the stated aim of reinstating the worship of Set.
Would people like to share any ceremonies or rites that they've written?
And since I'm on the subject, would some sort of global public database of open Setian ceremonies (dates, locations or contact details) be of interest?

Hey,
New member here.
Short, relevant bio: I was raised Mormon, but got better and left around age 17. I started looking for something real - I was drawn to paganism and Wicca, but nothing really seemed to "fit", and I had decided to pursue Thelema, as it seemed most like what I was looking for.
Awhile ago, I was looking for information on Set (I'm almost embarassed to say why, but I'm sure you'll figure it out quickly enough if you look at my regular lj). I stumbled onto a website for the Australia Temple of Set, and ended up reading a summary of the Setian belief system. Wow, I thought, They just summed up everything I've ever seriously believed in two paragraphs.
I suppose my question is, Where now? I'm hesitant to formally join any particular church at the moment (being raised Mormon will do that to you), but I'm interested in learning as much as I can. Are there any books or websites that any of you can recommend? Any resources I should be aware of? Keep in mind that I prefer individual study at the moment.
Thanks in advance!

Despite an overly dramatic info page, I thought I'd join the community.

Hotep everyone!
This is just a short note to say if you can, you might want to pick up the latest KMT, in which a short article, but chock full of nice pictures, of Set has been written in their pantheon series. The KMT to look for is Volume 15, Number 4, Winter 2004-5. Take care everyone, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving Day, and many blessings and love your way.

While out doing my job of over the road trucking, I've taken to keeping my idol of Sutekh with me, and ever since I've done so, I've asked him to keep parking spaces open for me. Lo and behold, they HAVE gotten easier to find. Coincidence? I don't think so.

7:05PM - Set: God of Confusion, Online!
Rejoice, oh you followers of the Great Red Lord! For I have found a way (finally) to get this $#%^! book online. It will be linked to, page by page, from my journal- where I expect a lively discussion in response to my efforts. You can reach the starting page, here.
P.S.~ Seta, now you can get your copy back even if that person doesn't return the book you loaned.^_~

Em hotep everyone,
From a long, long hiatus, I've returned. I just saw that somehow Sutekh, who has since left us, was made a maintaner, and I don't know how that happened. I don't remember doing that to him. It's okay though, because I am back and I will maintain the community on my own.
Yesterday, according to a few Houses and parties in worship to the Nutjeru, was considered the beginning of the New Year, Wep Ronpet! I wished to extend a belated Wep Ronpet to one and all. Is there anything that any of you would like to discuss in this the beginning of the year?
Thank you for your patience and holding on. Take care, be well, much love! Senebty!

Right, I'm kind of curious now.
Why have I been made manager/co-manager of this community? I wasn't told in any way about it until looking to delete the other community that I had made myself for a computer game.
Please contact me if you wish to maintain this community. I didn't get asked and at least I'll offer the choice to people.

Hi. I am very worried about Seta. Has anyone heard from her? I noticed she has deleted her journal. Who is now the maintainer? Would you like help with the community? This community is her baby. I want it to go on and on. To that end, I will help in any manner that I can.
